Where are you? What do you see?

In a situation where we are not sure of the space we are in, a common thing to do is to ask ourselves what we see and try to recognize our location from our surroundings' details.

Where are you? What do you see? is a deceptive performance especially made for Kikker, where the building of our theatre plays the main part.

Eleni Palogou is a scenographer specializing in architecture. She graduated last year from the master scenography of the Utrecht School of the Arts. The multiple manifestations of reality fascinate her. In her work she duplicates what is already there, plays with scale and adds a few things here and there. She conducts her research into perception and deception by means of models and videos. In the recent weeks she played with the building of Theater Kikker as a starting point. Eleni's performance is part of a trajectory of Theater Kikker in collaboration with Municipality of Utrecht to challenge theatre designers to create autonomous work for the theatre

Extra: Folds by Cecilia Berghall

A corner filled with 4000 pieces of folded paper. Folding the paper is a tool to connect and communicate with other people about difficult topics, and the dark side of human experience in an environment that is creative and beautiful. The Project Folds deals with the reality of how making art can produce and cultivate thought. That sometimes the act of doing or making can lead the thinker to refresh, question, confront, and connect. Come and fold along!
