Welcome to the era of the mental pandemic, overwhelming pressure, increasing uncertainties, and just MORE burnouts (who doesn’t know it!?).
The exhausted society is overstimulated and hyperactive. Homo economicus markets himself, while quietly we shed bitter Prozac tears. We work under voluntary coercion and relax in compulsive freedom. Rest becomes unrest.
Too much truth, too much untruth, too many expectations, too much data, too much access, too many friends...
TRANQUILO. WE NEED TO GET AWAY FOR A MOMENT. NUMB US. WE NEED VACATION FROM VACATION.
URLAND detaches itself and searches for the meaning of Nothingness.
Five years after the original URLAUB, URLAND revisits this Italo-Disco recreation horror and concludes that it has gotten worse: URLAUB Revisited.

Urland is een Rotterdams performancecollectief dat bestaat uit Thomas Dudkiewicz, Marijn Alexander de Jong en Jimi Zoet. De drie performers maken beeldende, muzikale en fysieke voorstellingen die het publiek confronteren met universele thema’s en vragen. Het collectief is een vaste bespeler van Theater Kikker. De theaterhit UR maakte deel uit van de 2018-editie van Kikker Kiest. In september 2018 presenteerde Urland in de UR-triënnale, waarin zij hun eigen werk kritisch onder de loep namen. In april 2019 speelde de succesvoorstelling URLAUB in onze grote zaal. In september 2019 maakte ze een uitstapje naar de grote zaal van de Stadsschouwburg met de De Internet Trilogie. Ludwig Bindervoet maakte t/m 2023 ook onderdeel uit van het performance collectief maar kondigde aan solo verder te gaan.
