Pointless International - Point of no return

After Pointless International (2014), Pointless International brings poly-interpretability (2017) and the Pointless International Medley (2018), now finally the long-awaited and strongly dissuaded final play of this series of English-spoken clown performances for an adult audience: Point of no return.

play of this series of English-spoken clown performances for an adult audience: Point of no return.

Discordia and 't Barre Land connect the best of the theater with the best of the circus with Pointless International. Based on the classic world repertoire of clowns and comedians. Coco, Buster, Joey, Sugar and Stan Vreeken once again demonstrate their inability to bring any venture to a successful end in this brand new show with the last remaining scenes, the leftovers without content and meaning, the most incomprehensible tricks - the cherries on the cake long gone, eaten all the currants out of the porridge and everything that was simply the best simply thrown away in the previous programs - they come up with the acts that they rather would not burn their fingers on, or better walk by fast with a wide berth, the worst jokes, the ‘halbe witzen’ en a lot of clou beside the point; in short, with this existential tough task as life itself. With nothing in their pocket but a large certificate of inability and with fresh and sweet reluctance, the clowns take the step back into the arena / on stage. Very unwise and against better judgement, because there is no way back in Point of no return.

"'what better mirror can you hold to humanity?' "

Sander Janssens

"It’s not only to laugh, but also admirable skillful and very clever thought about."

Karin Veraart

"The four of them are grandiose: tragic and laughable, provocative and admirable, chaotic and insane."

Joukje Akveld
