How grief continues to shape your identity
In the spoken word theatre performance You’ve Been Needing Sadness, literary artist Sunni Lamin Barrow explores the concept of grief from a different perspective: not as something purely psychological, but as something deeply somatic. How can loss linger in the body and continue to shape your identity long after the event itself? Blending spoken word, movement, storytelling and sound, Sunni Lamin Barrow explores the limits of language when faced with experiences that cannot be put into words. You’ve Been Needing Sadness is a theatrical exploration that transforms grief from something to be resolved into a constant force that shapes how we connect with ourselves and others.
