WE PLAY SO HARD IT HURTS

Step into the hidden realms of cruising culture in this playful, raw solo by Spanish performer and maker Fernando Troya.

With unapologetic authenticity, Troya explores and celebrates the complexity of queer identity and the longing for intimacy in the dark.

Set against a living landscape of ten mattresses, We Play So Hard It Hurts moves fluidly between performance, dance, and theatre. Mixing autobiographical elements with a nod to Peter Pan, Troya crafts an allegory for those who, like the Lost Boys, remain trapped in a world of endless, frustrated discovery—where play becomes a way of life.
