The central space in the show refers to an interrogation room in which two people try to defend themselves against accusations. Who is the perpetrator and who is the victim remains a question. Who is seen as such through the eyes of the outsider keeps on changing. And then a clown passes by with blood on his hands.
The central space in the show refers to an interrogation room in which two people try to defend themselves against accusations. Who is the perpetrator and who is the victim remains a question. Who is seen as such through the eyes of the outsider keeps on changing. And then a clown passes by with blood on his hands. DeRonde/Deroo is creating this performance especially for Theater Na de Dam. Through their ingenious physicality, striking images and poignant texts, they show how quickly one can become entangled in a system.

Sinds 2011 zetten theatermakers en artiesten in heel Nederland zich in op de avond van de Nationale Dodenherdenking op 4 mei om deze dag van extra betekenis te voorzien. Elk jaar spelen gelijktijdig om 21:00 uur meer dan 120 voorstellingen, die ieder op hun eigen manier betrekking hebben op de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Ook maakt Theater Na de Dam jaarlijks een theaterprogramma met de NOS dat op 4 mei op televisie wordt uitgezonden. Daarnaast vormen jongerenvoorstellingen sinds 2012 een wezenlijk onderdeel van Theater Na de Dam. In mei 2023 waren er verspreid over het land ruim 40 voorstellingen, gespeeld en gemaakt door jongeren van 12 tot 23 jaar en begeleid door professionele makers. In mei 2024 worden er 47 jongerenvoorstellingen gemaakt.
