GUT is the work title of an artistic research by Diane Mahin. A series of performances that tries to answer the question: how does the world look like when human bodies are turned inside out and the anatomical inside takes over daily life?

GUT is Mahins third part of this research. During this performance, you’ll listen to the gut sounds of performer Gerben Vaillant. Based on the principals of evolutionary science fiction, Mahin investigates the social consequences of turning a human body inside out in a theatrical way. How does a human being, whose gut sounds have been reinforced for generations, move, talk and act? Does this say anything about the absurdity of our daily life?
