How do we find the balance between our urge for adventure and our need for certainty? And what happens when those two longings clash with each other?
In her new dance performance ‘Further, Faster, More’ choreographer Jelena Kostić tells a story of control - wanting it, needing it and the hunger for losing it.
It’s the first time for choreographer Jelena Kostić that she develops an evening programme with a duet between two male performers from very distinct disciplines. One’s a dancer and the other one a freerunner. They will combine the movements and expressive power of modern dance and the urban discipline of free running. The two will explore how far we as mankind want to and can go in our search of freedom, thrills and adrenaline. A poetic and physically imposing search within the confines of control versus freedom and safety versus risk.
"The movements are powerful and original, a cocktail consisting of contemporary dance (solo, duet, synchronized group dance), acrobatics and urban dance, but also mime."
