An exercise in embracing a world that is always in motion—in getting lost and finding direction.
How do you find your way when everything is constantly changing? In FLUX, three performers search for balance in an unpredictable world. They navigate between structure and chaos, between taking control and letting go. Who leads, who follows, who takes the first step? Sometimes they find comfort in structure, sometimes room to breathe in the unexpected, or even liberation in the unknown. But just when they think they’ve figured it out, everything shifts again.
FLUX is the latest performance by Marta & Kim. At the intersection of circus and dance, they let bodies speak without words—sincere and poetic. They create an exercise in embracing the complexity of life, in getting lost and finding direction. And perhaps it’s also an attempt to truly look one another in the eye in these turbulent times.
Marta en Kim zijn een Nederlands/Noors duo, dat circus en dans combineert. Ze verdiepen zich in menselijk contact, dat de basis vormt voor hun partnerwerk. Lichaamstaal is cultureel bepaald, en tegelijkertijd ook universeel. Hun verschillende achtergronden stellen Marta & Kim in staat om door een andere lens te kijken en te zoeken naar universele betekenis in hun werk.
Marta en Kim zoeken naar eenvoudige fysieke metaforen en werken die uit, waarbij ze toegankelijke beelden creëren met oog voor detail. Ze spelen met schijnbaar onmogelijke figuren die tot de verbeelding spreken, terwijl ze de fragiliteit van het mens-zijn nooit uit het oog verliezen.
