(DON’T) LOOK ME IN THE EYES is een dansvoorstelling geënt op het verhaal van de Griekse mythe over Medusa en de Gorgonen.
Het is een stuk voor drie menselijke performers, twee robots en een avatar, waarin het gaat over het monsterlijke en de relatie tussen het lichaam en de technologie. Het doel is om stil te staan bij de representaties van vrouwen en queer personages in de oerverhalen van de westerse cultuur. (DON’T) LOOK ME IN THE EYES is een poging de problemen die deze mythe veroorzaakt om te vormen tot een futuristische science fiction droom. Door de lijn van het verleden naar het heden te volgen, wil de maker een aantal problemen waar we vandaag mee worstelen beter begrijpen en aanpakken.

SPRING Performing Arts Festival is een tiendaags internationaal festival met vernieuwende dans, theater, performances en meer in de stad Utrecht. Je vindt SPRING in het theater, op bijzondere locaties en in de openbare ruimte. Op het festival zie je ruim 25 avontuurlijke en urgente voorstellingen van zowel dichtbij als ver, die vragen durven te stellen over de staat van de wereld.
