We always want an answer to all questions. But isn't it fun and exciting to doubt? After all, the world is a strange place. Have you just learned that birds have wings to fly, there also appear to be birds that cannot fly. Life sometimes seems like a game in which the rules keep changing. How do you find your way in this? Confusion creates doubt, but also encourages making up, creating and having fun.
In Baaard, bearded people move through all kinds of recognizable situations. An ever-growing beard on stage opens up worlds that keep changing. Just as the bearded people think they understand the world around them, everything is knocked over and they have to start over. Curiously they travel through all kinds of colorful, sometimes incomprehensible, but always fascinating beard worlds.
Hipsters, lumberjacks, wizards, Santa Claus, the woman with the beard and pirates: Baaard is a wild bearded parade of archetypes, where everything is possible.
