Forugh Farrokhzad is one of Iran’s most important poets of the 20th century.

Her first poem ‘Sin’ (1958) made her both famous and defamed. After she started to gain international recognition as a cineaste, she died in a car accident at the age of 32. Composer Huba de Graaff turned her work  ‘Let Us Believe in the Dawn of the Cold Season’ into an epic protest ballad.  An all-female cast rockperformance about rebellion and female artistry.
